Alex Verge is a licensed naturopathic doctor who has lived in Guelph for over 25 years. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph, she spent four years at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine to obtain the title of naturopathic doctor. She has maintained a private practice since 2002, first as the Verge Naturopathic Clinic and then, more recently, as Kura Naturopathic Clinic, a name change that reflects a new location and the addition of new practitioners. Over the years, through her general practice, Alex has had the honour of supporting people from all walks of life on their journey to better health. More recently, she has been spending increasing amounts of time with those interested in healthy aging. Cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, generational stresses, cancer and dementia are some of the issues we can face as we age. Alex\'s goal is to help people understand their current state of health, identify and manage risk factors, and develop naturopathic strategies to support present concerns and improve future ones. She is a professional member of both her provincial and federal associations and is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. Alex is fluent in English and French. In an ongoing effort to practice what she preaches, Alex enjoys hiking, reading, vegetable gardening, cooking, supporting local farmers and travelling. Achieving balance in health and life is a journey; it can take time and patience, but is always worth the ride.
