Anita Kieswetter graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1997 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, Cooperative. After working locally for almost four years, her passion for obtaining a deeper understanding of human health with the ultimate goal of preventing and treating disease became stronger and stronger. For that reason, Anita then went on to further her education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and has been practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor in Waterloo since graduation in 2004. Regardless of age or ailment, Anita believes naturopathic medicine is beneficial for all individuals, and therefore maintains a general family practice in the heart of uptown Waterloo  As part of her treatment protocols, Anita may use one or a combination of modalities such as nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, and counselling to address each individual\'s health concerns. B12 injections are also available. Due to her passion to keep learning, she regularly attends seminars learning both the world of old natural medicine and new research in hopes to combine both elements in her practice. As part of Anita's passion for naturopathic medicine, she has presented the role naturopathic medicine can play in health and disease at various functions including events related to autism, celiac disease, and osteoporosis. She has also spoken at various events in the past years held at the University of Waterloo's Science Alumni and Career Centre regarding the pursuit of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor. Anita enjoys spending time outdoors. Her passion to see the world and learn about different cultures, diets, and lifestyles is always alive. She truly believes we can all learn something from one another on living a healthy life.
