Cheryl Allen grew up in Markham Ontario. She completed her 4 year degree of Applied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph where she graduated with a Dietetics degree. She has always had a passion for diet and had found through personal health concerns the power diet has on healing the body. During her University studies Cheryl was introduced to Naturopathic Medicine and found the principles to be in line with her personal beliefs on health care. She moved to Toronto and completed her 4 year diploma of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2010. She moved to Pembroke in 2010 and with her husband and since has had three kids who keep her busy when she is not in the clinic. She loves the community and beauty of the Ottawa Valley. Cheryl believes optimal healthcare is patient centred care. This involves putting the patient in control of their health. Empowering them through education and allowing them choice in their treatment. She believes diet plays a pivotal role in the foundation of a persons health, and strives through personal and group sessions to excite, encourage and educate and support. Cheryl has a passion for women?s health throughout the life stages. She has a focus on fertility, prenatal and post natal care through to menopause and hormone balance.
