My healthcare career began by providing care for seniors in a nursing home setting. I obtained my Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at University of Waterloo and my Diploma in Respiratory Therapy from The Michener Institute prior to working in acute care at Hamilton General Hospital. My passion for early intervention and patient empowerment lead me into four additional years of Naturopathic medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Along the path to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor I met and married my husband, a medical doctor. Together we have two active and energetic young boys. Being a \"mom\", \"wife\" and \"doctor\" have all shaped my practice. I have a general family practice with a special interest in asthma, thyroid dysfunction, pre and post-partum care and women's health. As a Naturopathic Doctor I blend the art of traditional medical practices with the science of today to create a safe and effective treatment strategy tailored to you and your goals. I recognize that we are all individuals and when it comes to health there is no \"one size fits all\". I am passionate about helping patients take charge of their health and empowering them to make informed healthcare choices that are right for them.
