Dr. Scheer received his Master of Health Sciences - Bioethics from the University of Toronto in 2010. He has been a Doctor of Chiropractic since 1979 and Naturopathic Doctor since 1987. In 1975 he received his Hon. BSc. from the University of Toronto. He worked at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine from 1987 to 2004 as clinic supervisor, lecturer, and teaching assistance. Dr. Scheer has spoken at the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) convention in 2006 and 2008. He has served on the OAND continuing education committee. He has lectured to various organizations on a variety of health related topics. He has been in private practice since 1979. As an athletic trainer on various AAA hockey teams he has examined and treated numerous sport related injuries. Dr. Scheer is a consultant for the insurance industry providing Independent Medical Evaluations for motor vehicle accidents in Naturopathic and Chiropractic. He has written articles for: Integrated Healthcare Practitioners; The Pulse; and Chiropractic journals. He is currently on the board for Integrated Healthcare Practitioner as a peer reviewer. Dr. Scheer has published in the Health Science Inquiry, a University of Toronto peer reviewed publication. The article was titled "Naturopathic Medicine is Viable Therapy in the Prevention and Treatment of H1N1"
