Dr. Janis Li, ND is a registered naturopathic doctor who enjoys working with patients from all walks of life. She is a naturopathic family practitioner with a special focus on pain management, stress management, women's health, weight loss, and digestive concerns. As a strong advocate of holistic care, Dr. Janis is passionate about sharing her health knowledge and works with her patients to address their fundamental causes of disease. Her individualized treatment plans combine natural therapies including: Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and cupping), botanical medicine, nutritional supplementation and nutrient therapies (B12 and other vitamin injections), diet and nutrition, lifestyle counselling, and physical therapies (hydrotherapy, low level laser therapy, trigger point release). Prior to her training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Janis completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction at the University of Toronto, specializing in Human Biology, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Physiology. In addition to her clinical training as an intern at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, Dr. Janis has provided naturopathic medical care to the Aboriginal community at the Anishnawbe Health Toronto Community Naturopathic Clinic. She has also travelled abroad in partnership with Naturopaths without Borders and Naturopathic Medicine for Global Health to provide primary health care to the indigenous population of Guatemala. She is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and has completed additional training and examinations to meet the Standard of Practice of Therapeutic Prescribing. She also holds active professional memberships with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Outside of private practice, she is a teaching assistant and lecturer at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
