I am a medical doctor from Colombia, and I moved to Canada in the year 2000. Discouraged about the way conventional medicine is practiced, I dedicated myself to clinical research working in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of oncology for 8 years. However, my calling was to be a healer and becoming a naturopath was the answer and is now my passion. Treating the person as a whole, naturopathic medicine takes into account not only the physical but also the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of human beings. It emphasizes prevention and optimal health, and identifies the causes of disease instead of treating symptoms.
