Natalie is the co-founder of Durham Natural Health Centre. She strongly believes in a balanced approach to health and well-being. She obtained her Naturopathic Medical degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Prior to studying Naturopathic Medicine she studied Kinesiology at McMaster University where she completed a 4 year honours degree. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree she began working in the fitness industry. While working as a personal trainer, Natalie was continually amazed at how simple, natural, lifestyle changes could make a tremendous difference in one's health. She began looking for a health care system that supported the natural healing abilities of the body and quickly discovered Naturopathic Medicine. She enrolled in the 4 year program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and has never looked back. She welcomes treating all conditions however has a keen interest in paediatrics, digestive complaints, women's health issues, auto-immune conditions, hormonal issues, infertility and environmental sensitivities. Natalie is committed to continual education and training to ensure her patients are receiving the best care and most applicable treatment. She has obtained additional training in the area of pediatrics, women's health and environmental medicine. Natalie has a passion for educating and regularly gives talks on health and Naturopathic Medicine within the Durham region. She has conducted seminars to various health professionals to educate about the importance of integrative care, naturopathic medicine and disease prevention. She has been a featured guest on Rogers Durham Daytime television show where she appeared as the resident health expert. She has published various articles including one in the Vital Link, the national publication for Naturopathic Doctors. Natalie is a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors as well as the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
